Health Dialogues

About Health Dialogues

Overview
Health Dialogues, a special series from KQED Public Radio's The California Report, engages listeners in an ongoing discussion of California health care issues that are important to the underserved: children, low-income residents, minorities, people with disabilities, immigrants, and rural and migrant worker communities in particular. The series seeks to generate and facilitate dialogue between communities, health care providers and policy-makers.

Programming
The centerpieces of the Health Dialogues series are monthly, one-hour shows. On KQED Radio, the programs air on the third Thursday of each month at 8pm and on the following Saturday at 1pm. Hosted by Scott Shafer, the programs include special reports, moderated discussion with a panel of experts, and conversations with Californians who have been affected by the health issue being discussed.
